If you presently have a calling of God on your life to reach an unreached Chinese people group for Jesus, please pray about the possibility of joining with us in Hakka Church Planting Ministries. Here's some information that might help:


 

What exactly are you guys doing to reach the Hakkas?

We're currently working to plant strong, growing cell churches in the five largest market towns of the most unreached Hakka county in Taiwan. (See The Vision)


I don't have any churchplanting training or experience, and am pretty low in the pastoral gift department. How could your ministry possibly use me? 

If God can use you, then we can too. Our ministry philosophy is based on forming good, solid gift-filled teams to go into an area and plant the church. (As opposed to sending one or two gift-filled individuals.) All we ask of any of our team members is that they be faithful to use whatever gifts God has given them, trusting that He will minister in power through their body (team) as a whole. 


It sounds like you have a pretty big team there already. Are you sure there's really a need for me to come join your work?

Absolutely! Of our five target towns in Miaoli County, three are yet to have a church planting presence in their midst. 


I'm a bit of a homebody. How can you be sure that I have what it takes to work in a cross-cultural, pioneering situation?

We can't, of course. But, we can promise to work our tails off to try and help you succeed in what God has called you to. This means providing you with the kind of support you'll need to make an honest go of it … a tight system of language learning accountability, appropriate cross-cultural and ministry training, pastoral support, and a close-knit family of like-minded brothers and sisters. 


What kind of training prerequisites do you have for those who desire to join your team?

In most cases we require applicants for long term positions to have successfully completed a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS). We would also strongly suggest the completion of either a YWAM School of Missions and Evangelism (SOME) or School Of Frontier Missions (SOFM).
